Continental

Supplemental ESL & Cirriculum Supplier

Intro

Continental is a PreK–12 educational publisher serving schools across the United States and around the world.

Contenential was founded in 1937 by Horace E. Raffensperger, a supervising school principal. He saw that textbooks alone weren’t enough for many students to learn, and the addition of supplemental materials could positively impact their performance. Today, Continental continues to fill the latest teaching and curriculum needs for in-school and remote learning.

Topics and subjects include early literacy, reading, English language arts, mathematics, state test preparation, and Common Core State Standards. Over the years, Continental has emerged as a leader in programs for English Language Learners (ELLs).  Instruction and practice focus on language development and readiness for state ELP assessments, including WIDA’s ACCESS for ELLs® 2.0, Texas TELPAS test, and New York NYSESLAT. Continental’s print and digital offerings support special needs, differentiated instruction, intervention, and general classroom learning.

In 2002, Seedling Publications joined the Continental family, bringing with it a comprehensive line of K–2 early literacy and parental involvement materials.
